We both needed to chill out, the villa was the perfect place
For a stay in May 2016
The villa Clara was excellent and both Norma and Terry of the management company were so helpful and always there to help. The villa's location was very good and both bedrooms at the front of the villa woke up each morning to the most brilliant sunrise. Very quiet location but within easy reach of some outstanding restaurants and lovely beaches. A car is a strong recommendation.

The house is beautiful, inside and out, decorated and very clean. Very nice bedrooms with plenty of closet space and great balconies. The kitchen fully equipped, nothing is missing, also washing machine, iron, ironing board, ... We had 2 great weeks in late July / early August. Wonderful sea view, a cozy and always shaded (very pleasant!), All set seating area under a "pavilion" with great taste. The pool was cleaned very often, also the house was cleaned during the 2 weeks 3 times and cleaned 1 time Beds / towels changed by Terry and Norma, a very pleasant, helpful and nice couple, open to all questions / problems. The house is a dream! Only WiFi was missing a little. Car is however urgently needed, otherwise it will be difficult even with the meals, because to get anywhere (except in a bay with snack) walking back. You can drive from there to beautiful beaches, also are many beautiful and good tavernas not far away. Very scenic. We prefer typical Greek small places to stroll with its alleyways. All in all: a great vacation in a dream home!"
“Simply - paradise!”

We spent wonderfull two weeks in Villa Cara. It is easy to sum up - the place is just paradise.
Location - well, I had never such a one-million dollar view straight from my bed... On the mornings golden light paints the facade of the villa so we spent our time sipping coffee in the balcony.
Villa is in perfect condition, the maintaining team is more than super and the pool - inviting and fresh.
I loved Xigia Beach, the sulphur one, but as we were with kids, we used to go to Alykes beach, which was perfect for families.
Thanks to very useful infos from Sam, we usually ate tasty food in taverna Anatolikos. It is place not only where tasty food is served but also is great value for money.
For me it was the best holiday ever...

Villa Cara is a top class villa with stunning views. the pool is a good size and the outside area is nicely set up. The interior is beautiful with the stone walls and wooden beams , very unusual .The villa is just a stones throw away from a small beach which has a unique method of delivering drinks to you ie. via a pulley to the man on the beach ! We got lots of information from Samantha, the owner, before we went. We all had a truly lovely holiday and would recommend it to all ages.

Right from the initial enquiry the simple booking process and the honest and helpful advice from Sam confirmed that we had made the best choice. The villa management team were also really kind and helpful with their local knowledge of the island.
When we arrived the villa exceeded what we had imagined, set so close to the sea with a beautiful, uninterrupted view it is in a great location especially for evening meals on the terrace. The villa is presented beautifully, with spacious living areas downstairs and bedrooms that take in the great views across the sea (it is well worth waking up earlier, at least one day, for the sunrise). The local towns offer a wide selection of supermarkets, fresh produce shops and restaurants.
We loved spending the afternoons just lying by the pool or exploring when we wanted, being a short distance away from the main resorts meant it was less busy and more relaxing. We loved our time on Zante and would love to stay at Villa Cara again in the future. It was great for the two of us and we were sad to leave but will always fondly remember our honeymoon on this beautiful island!
“A wonderful week in a beautiful setting”

Villa Cara is just beautiful from it's stunning location in the north easterly part of the island to the villa itself.
The villa is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything a family could need. Booking is direct with the owners who have thought of every detail to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
The view from all rooms at the front of the villa is stunning and a sunrise should not be missed. We loved this part of the island for it's quiet tranquility, there is a beach just 5 minutes walk away which we were lucky to have to ourselves when we visited. Within 15 minutes drive you will find the port of St Nicolas, a picturesque spot for dinner and boat rides to the blue caves. The boat even collected us directly from the table where we were dining! If you have children the island's animal park is also within easy reach.
Both a memorable and perfect holiday from start to finish.
“Attractive stone villa located conveniently to some of the most beautiful beaches on Zakinthos”

We feel very happy to have found Villa Cara as it put us within walking distance to some of the best beaches and tavernas on the Island.
The caretakers, Norma and Terry, keep the villa in immaculate condition. They are also very helpful in regards to advice and recommendation on activities around the islands such as where to shop, eat and other leisure activities. This villa is well equipped to accommodate young families. It was great to have good satellite TV as well as a selection of CDs, DVDs and books. The contribution of information from previous guests in the information pack was brilliant!

“Great place to stay on this beautiful island”
Reviewed 23rd July for stay in June 2014
The beautiful little Villa Cara is located in a rather quiet part of the island, away from big hotels and busy beaches, which turned out to be our favorite place! The local beaches, villages and restaurants (especially Niko's) are absolutely gorgeous, and in general we found the Northern part of the island most original and beautiful. However, If you want more action & prefer being in village, you probably should search for another place. We were travelling as 2 families with grand parents (6 adults, 2 kids), which is definitely the limit the Villa can host. Rooms were very clean, the pool was perfect, and if there was a problem the local housekeepers were extremely friendly and helpful! The only thing that was missing would have been a garden with flowers & trees, but the goats in the area don't support this idea. In summary, we loved it and would definitely come back!
Exceeded expectations – I don’t think the photos online really do justice to the balcony views (get a sunrise picture up there !) or the space downstairs or the outdoor furniture which was available, the location, sea-views etc.
Would definitely recommend Villa Cara to our family and friends. The whole booking procedure with Sam (including tips on car hire etc.) was really nice. So much nicer than dealing with a faceless travel agent.
We loved this villa - having stayed in many over the years the location, facilities, views and authentic charm of the place really made our holiday special.
Our children are 4 and 7 and the villa is safe, has its own pool which is regularly cleaned and is in a quiet location with amazing views but close enough to quiet, stunning beaches, exciting boat trips and water parks to keep everyone entertained.
Booking with Sam was really easy and she always kept me informed with useful tips about car hire etc.
I would highly recommend this villa to anyone.
We are now back home to cool and rainy Finland after marvelous holiday to Greece. We loved our stay in Zakynthos and Villa Cara absolutely met our high expectations. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay. We think that the Villa is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the island. The Villa was very well equipped and everything worked smoothly (cooling and water heating). Thank you also for your local management for taking care of us.
We got quite good overview of the island. We drove by car all around and visited every place between Korithi lighthouse, Keri and Gerakas beach. We visited Navagio beach both from the above cliffs and by boat. We are glad that we were not staying at Laganas beach in the crowds even if we liked to experience the Caretta turtles swimming close to the shore in Laganas.

Villa Cara is short of nothing - it suited our needs perfectly.
We needed a week of complete relaxation and rest and thats exactly what we achieved here.
Stunning views - Great sunrises and perfect location for either a busy holiday or a relaxing out of the way stay.
All parts of the Island are within easy reach should you want to explore more.
The villa itself has everything you need, its short of nothing. The pool albeit small (ish) is just perfect for a dip when it gets too hot.
There are some lovely local beaches that are nice and quiet and have the sun most of the day.
Great Tavernas just a few minutes away (especially Xigia Taverna just up the hill where you will receive a warm welcome and fantastic food)
There are no negatives regarding our stay here it really was perfect.

“Lovely quiet location with interesting beaches and good tavernas nearby”
A lovely villa in a nice location away from the hustle of Alykes. The pool, whilts small is great to keep the kids entertained after you get back from the beach.
Beaches are very quiet until about 10am, so a good time to go is first thing. Our fave was the little Xigia South beach.
Xigia South Taverna does great food, and Nico's on the right just past Makros Gialos offered greek with a twist. After all, there are only so many greek salads you can eat. In Alykes, the Paradosiako offered great dips and was very friendly, even though it's on the main road (most are). No one seems to go out to eat until about 8:30, but you can eat earlier if you have young kids etc. (Tavernas are open but quiet at 6:30pm, with most open all day).
We hired a speedboat from Valais, and this was great fun. The coastline is full of coves and caves, which you can't otherwise see. There's a huge cave by Xigia North beach, that you'd never know about otherwise. Cost was abotu E140 for a speedboat, or E100 for a 30hp boat.
All in all, a lovely relaxing time in a Villa well maintained and cared for.
“Had a great week”
Lovely villa in a lovely area. Swimming pool was nice & great views. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing time, not doing anything then you may not need a car but if you fancy going out on your holiday then you'll definitely need a car as there isn't much within walking distance. The villa was in good condition & maintained well by the cleaners.
Beautiful villa located on the quiet north east shore of Zakynthos. Very comfortable and well appointed with own pool. Lovely beaches and coves within walking distance. Enjoyed watching birds and bats dipping into pool to drink! Plenty of good local tavernas offering traditional Greek food and hospitality. Car essential as nearest village with shops is a few km away.
I have just returned form holidaying in this Villa and am still dreaming of those beautiful sunrises that poured in through the bedroom window every morning. What a perfect start to the day. The Villa was wonderful - immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived and more than comfortable - the location is awesome: peace and tranquility personified but within easy reach of beaches (Xigia is just gorgeous) and relative nightlife if so desired. The local tavernas offered amazing food at value for money prices with excellent friendly service. I can't remember the last time I unwound so quickly. Can't wait to go back!
